10-го октября увидела свет версия 4.02 DivX кодека для Linux.
release notes:
* Shared libraries are compiled with glibc 2.1.2 and hopefully work with other versions of glibc as well
* Postprocessing is not tested on non-MMX processors.
* In encoder, deinterlacing is only available on SSE processors ( Intel Pentium III, AMD Athlon ).
* In decoder, all accelerated color conversions are implemented but not thoroughly tested.
* Brightness/contrast/saturation adjustment is added.
* Fixed bug in previous codec releases that that caused SSE/MMXEXT optimizations to be turned off on all processors.
SSE does not give much acceleration in case of YUV output though.
* Completely rewritten deringing.
