Survey about the impact of the adoption of Continuous Integration on code refactoring practices.
Dear bodqhrohro, We are a joint research group in software engineering from ETS Montreal, RIT, and the University of Zurich, conducting a study about the impact of Continuous Integration (CI) on code refactoring. We consulted your project maxcom/lorsource available on Github (https://github.com/maxcom/lorsource) of which you are an active committer. In short, our analysis compared refactoring effort before and after the adoption of Travis-CI. Our exploratory results show that after two years following the adopting of Travis-CI system the Refactoring frequency as well as the size of related changes tend to decrease after the adoption of CI. Additionally, we observed that the rate of developers who applied refactoring has decreased while the focus seems to be on method level refactoring (e.g. Extract method, Move method).
