Совместимость zlib и gpl лицензий

Конкретно интересует пункт 2. Вроде бы в лицензии GPL такого требования нет, а значит zlib налагает дополнительный запрет и не может быть в составе gpl-продукта. С другой стороны, авторитетный источник ( https://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html#ZLib ) говорит что совместима. Я где-то ошибаюсь?

А, проглядел. Интересно, а как это требование к бинарникам применяется? В zlib про них не сказано, но меня отдельно интересует. Запрещает ли GPL распространять пропатченую версию софта без упоминаний (в каком-нить «about», не в исходниках) о том что это не официальная авторская версия, а пропатченая?

Использую такую лицензию, интересует совместима ли она с GPL, 4 пункт не хотелось бы убирать. 

1. Redistributions of source code must retain the above copyright
   notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer.
2. Redistributions in binary form must reproduce the above copyright
   notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer in the
   documentation and/or other materials provided with the distribution.

   must not be misinterpreted as being the original software.

GPL требует давать исходники к бинарникам, требований упоминания с бинарниками не вижу. Ну и надо понимать, что лицензии «GPL» нет, есть только GPL v2, GPL v3 и т.д. GPL v3 разрешает:

b) Requiring preservation of specified reasonable legal notices or author attributions in that material or in the Appropriate Legal Notices displayed by works containing it; or

Так что тут не так просто определить. Можно написать им:

If you come across a license not mentioned in our license list, you can ask us to evaluate whether it is a free license. Please email a copy of the license (and the URL where you found it) to licensing@fsf.org. Our licensing experts in the staff and the board of directors will review it. If the license has some unusual conditions, they may pose difficult philosophical problems, so we can't promise to decide quickly.
