A typical team member develops a prototype (working closely with other customer’s core team members), then for several months is embedded in a product development team and helps ordinary engineers to take the project from concept to shippable product, and then comes back to the next thing prepared by the customer.
Experience (years): From 3 years as a software engineer (from 1 year as Sr. software engineer or a Team Leader)
Technical Skills: Strong experienced in system and embedded software development (either kernel-level or user-level). Strong knowledge either Linux or Windows kernel. Strong knowledge of the C and C++ languages (Java is much desired as well). Strong knowledge of the networking (TCP/IP stack, the BSD socket interface). Experience of programming system user-space POSIX-competent applications. Software designer skills. Either experienced Linux/UNIX user with strong knowledge of the UNIX utilities (bash, ps, ls, …) and GNU development tools (gcc, make, gdb, cvs/svn) or experienced Windows user Experienced in Cryptography. Understanding the basic concepts and existing implementations. Knowledge of the SSL library is desired.
