не могу запустить квоты

При запуске квот выдает вот такую ошибку

С какими опциями запускается quotacheck? Это первый запуск quotacheck для данной файловой системы? Если первый, то нужно запускать «quotacheck -с /»

Ради интереса решил поставить webmin. У него есть инструмент по работе с квотами. При помощи него тоже не смог включить квоты.

Ну попробуйте указать формат явно:

quotacheck -c -F vfsv0 /

Если не поможет, запустите с дебугом (опция -d), может что интерестное напишет.

Помог вот такой запуск:

quotacheck -d -m -c -F vfsv0 /

Но через 2 минуты после начала проверки выдало

Судя по ошибке это проблемы с жестким диском. Я запустил SMART проверку жеского диска, она не выявида никаких проблем.

UDMA_CRC_Error_Count — это скорее всего проблема в шлейфе, или перегрев контроллера дисков.

Multi_Zone_Error_Rate тоже плохо;

Selt-test'ы не проходят (Completed: read failure). Хотя на время запуска selt-test'ов диск лучше отмонтировать, чтобы к нему не было обращений и reset'ов диска из-за ошибок при обращении к нему. Так как он у вас с «/» разделом, получается, что нужно загрузить систему с другого носителя. И тестировать диск как SMART self-test'ами, таки и badblocks (read only, non-destructive read-write тесты). А для начала можно с работающей системы просто попробовать сделать чтение всего диска с помощью команды «dd».
