Проблемы с записью в Pioneer 212D

Приобрёл сегодня на замену почившему в бозе асусу вышеозначенный привод и столкнулся со следующей проблемой: записанные приводом диски не читаются. То есть запись проходит без проблем, но то, что получилось даже не монтируется. Другие диски читаются нормально. Проверялось на dvd-r,dvd-rw и cd-rw в Ubuntu 8.04 и OpenSuSE 11.

Из подозрений: интерфейс привода - sata, материнская плата - msi kt6 delta на via kt 400 пятилетней давности. Нету ли тут подвоха и в какую сторону копать?
