не заводятся драйвера NVIDIA

Дистр - Fedora Core 8
Купил карточку Leadtek WinFast PX8500 GT TDH (GPU NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT). Поставил rpm пакет с драйверами на нвидиа, xorg-x11-drv-nvidia. Не обнаружив никаких проблем при у становке, перезапустил комп... Монитор ушёл в спящий режим, система реагирует только на ctrl+alt+sysrq+(s u b). В логах иксов вроде никаких (EE), вот последние строчки

Так же ставил драйвера с nvidia.com, ситуация не изменилась
