General description: We have an immediate need for a Senior Linux/Network Systems Administrator to help build and administer the server and storage farm for a new web-based service, to assist in installing and configuring applications and monitoring tools, and to maintain the security and integrity of the production environment.
Responsibilities: Remote administration of the production web farm including Linux server configuration, RAID device configuration, network device configuration, application installation, ongoing support and monitoring. Local administration of the office LAN.
Requirements: * 5+ years experience in Linux system administration * Experience supporting production web environments * Solid knowledge of Linux (RedHat/CentOS) and linux security * Knowledge of IPtables, DNS, NTP, Sendmail * Knowledge of shell and perl scripting * Ability to troubleshoot network issues (connectivity, DNS, mail) * Experience configuring and using monitoring systems, such as Nagios and ticketing systems such as RT * Written and spoken English * Ability to work shifts and carry a pager * Knowledge of network protocols (including BGP) and administration of Cisco switches and routers, Foundry load balancers (optional) * Administration of Postgres, Subversion, VMware, Apache, Tomcat (optional)
Compensation: Full time, $1800+ depending on experience, future career growth potential

Общая информация: ищем системного администратора для построения и обслуживания удаленной веб-инфраструктуры для нового сервиса, включая конфигурацию и администрирование серверов, RAID устройств, аппаратуры сети. Установка и конфигурация аппликаций, утилит мониторинга, и.т.д. Администрирование локальной сети оффиса.
Требования: - опыт адмнинистрирования UNIX/Linux – 5+ лет - опыт работы с Linux (RedHat/CentOS) и защита серверов - опыт с IPtables, DNS, NTP, Sendmail, Apache, Tomcat - perl и shell скрипты - умение диагностировать сетевые проблемы (потеря соединения, DNS, mail) - знание английского языка (письменный – обязательно, устный – очень желательно) - знание сетевых протоколов (включая BGP) и конфигурирование сетевых устройств (Cisco switches and routers, Foundry load balancers) (желательно) - администрирование Postgres, Subversion, VMware, Apache, Tomcat (желательно)
