Может ли маковский zip-архив отличаться?

Спрашиваю не праздного интереса ради, но важного дела для.

В одном месте чувак упоминает не просто «zip-архив», а «маковский zip-архив». Это наводит на мысль, что он может чем то отличаться от просто zip-архива. Может ли такое быть, и если да, то чем?

Жми как обычно в tar.xz, а заднеприводные пусть сами разбираются, что у них там отличается.

Не может. Возможно речь про скрытые файлы с настройками отображения папки, которые часто попадают в архивы где перестают быть скрытыми и выглядят как мусор типа Thumbs.db в винде.
