minicom на utf8 терминале - что делать с кодировками?

Да, скачать деб пакет с сорцами, и поглядеть как они решили проблему.

Затупил.
LANG=ru_RU.CP866 xterm -e minicom

Если локали такой нет, то надо ее сгенерить
