picom i3 и лаги

Заметил одну странную вещь, при запуске picom картинка в кс перестает быть плавной, появляются разрывы и какие то фризы, при том что фпс 300+. если picom нет запущенн все норм, думаю это как то можно пофиксить через конфиг, кстати вот он:

Если по сути вопроса – композитинг в иксах сильно снижает производительность. А picom, судя по отзывам, еще и глючный. Определись, нужны ли тебе тени и прочие украшательства. Для борьбы с тирингом можно использовать опцию TearFree в xorg.conf (по крайней мере, если у тебя графика от amd или intel).

Так же следует отметить, что при отключении композитинга в иксах перестает работать screen sharing. А в i3 у меня вообще не получилось нормально записать экран в OBS Studio. Запуск picom не помог.

вообще после смены бэкэнда на glx лаги пропали только в плане плавности, а фризы именно в играх остались, хоть в инетрфейсе и норм все, но тут помогло решение от Fizzika c gamemode
