Sound card: Yamaha YMF754-R ALSA: latest development version, 0.9.0beta12 kernel: linux-2.4.9
Problem: I can't play MIDI at all. Is MIDI supported for YMF cards at all in ALSA?
When I type 'pmidi -l' two port numbers are printed: 64:0 (External MIDI) and 65:0 (OPL MIDI), but both ports are not working (I get mute when using those ports with pmidi).
Is there any specific configuration for getting MIDI with YMF cards? Or may be it is not supported at all? If MIDI for YMF is supported, can I play XG MIDI?
