К слову, а нет ли ни у кого ссылки на более-менее вменяемую статистику? В любом случае, мне почему-то кажется, что если на неё глянуть, то на серверах, где нужна 200%-ая гарантия работоспособности даже весь из себя ынтерпрайзовый DebianЪ сольёт тем же SLES/RHEL по понятным причинам.

true. К примеру сервера HP официально пожжерживают только RHEL и SLES. А в них есть очень много разных плюшек, которые с гарантией работают только в указаных дистрах.

Покупая брендовое железо - расчитываешь получить 100% гарантию отказоучтойчивости и изкоробочности. С дебианом искоробки может не всё заработать и не все фичи (диагностика железа, драйвера) могут заработать.

В таком случае зачем платить больше - может купить\собрать обычный сервак и поставить туда дебиан? (Ну и поиметь теже самые проблемы не переплачивая)

А что, Centos & RH уже радикально свежее Debian Etch на серверах ? :)))
