ubuntu on LG R400 laptop

намазал ubuntu feisty на лаптоп LG R400-5.C254R. не заводится два сетевых устройства: Agere Systems HDA SoftModem && Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter.

если атеросу скормить ath_pci, не появляется даже сетевой интерфейс (ath0 || wlan0). если через ndiswrapper и дровами от winxp -- интерфейс появляется, но в своей беспроволочной сетке зарегистрироваться я всё равно не могу. "sudo iwlist scan" тоже результатов не даёт: no networks found.

с модемом вообще труба.
есть пакет linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20-16-386, там вроде как есть модуль ltmodem, который поддерживает winmodem'ы LUCENT (который теперь Agere). оно кладёт какие-то модули в /lib/restricted-modules/, но они все заканчиваются на ".o", а не ".ko". короче, я этим пакетом пользоваться не умею =)

весь прикол в том, что lspci не показывает модема:

"Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Unknown device" -- это проволочная сетевая карточка. она завелась и работает, иначе я бы подох пакеты флешкой таскать =)

есть утилитка ScanModem (http://www.modemsite.ru/lin/#scanmodem). просканил ею:
