Нет, не противоречу, я имею в виду когда два и более сокетов, в которые отдельные процы вставляются. Многоядерность != многопроцессорность. Просто я не знаю как выглядит выхлоп у именно таких машин.

Именно противоречишь. Если у тебя 24 ядра, то это, скорее всего, два 6-ядерника с гипертредингом. Потому как 12-ядерных даже Интелов вроде нет ещё.

Кстати похоже величина bogomips - вообще абстрактна и не точна (что-то завроде такого и пишут в вики), ну если подумать то так и есть :) Т.е. по факту этот комп вообще не сравнится с первым по производительности - особенно при работе с виртуальными машинами или компиляции чего-то большого видно. А по богомипс - почти эквивалент.

У богомипсов в названии написано, что они не бенчмарк. Его ядра раза в два на той же частоте быстрее твои. В тот момент когда богомипсы меряются, турбобуст ещё не работает. В реальной работе частоты заметно выше.

Потому что они на одно ядро считаются, плюс ещё некорректно пишутся для гипертредовых потоков.
