XFree86 4.0.2 + RivaTNT2 + 24bpp

как добиться от этой конструкции 16 или 24 bpp???
у меня, хоть сдохни, стартует только на 8bpp :( а это не есть гуд.
может я, конечно, с /etc/XF86Config где-то ошибся
