Transmission на NAS (ARM)

На NAS установил Transmission, после чего в сислог посыпались следующие сообщения:

Если остановить демон - ошибки прекращаются.
1. что это?
2. это смертельно для NAS?
3. Это можно исправить?

На сколько я пока успел разобраться - это ошибки при компилировании трансмишина. Как подсказали Linux@jabber.ru «АРМ не умеет выполнять команды по не выровненому адресу».

Сдохла флешка

Сдохла флешка, eeePC T91, флешка дохнет не первый раз. Раньше просто форматировал, а сейчас не на всех компах видится. При подключении к машине с Debian в dmesg куча ошибок.

Как оживить? желательно без форматирования, можно как то таблицу разделов восстановить? или только форматировать? или это вообще уже смерть?

Install SUNWxvnc on Solaris

Прошу помогите немного, в какую сторону копать?
нужно установить SUNWxvnc, есть Solaris (не OpenSolaris).

VLC + Xorg (без менеджеров окон)

Возможно ли установить иксы но в качестве менеджера окон постаивть vlc?
что то даже придумать не могу в какую сторону гуглить, ничего не находится
про geexbox и mythbuntu в курсе, но хочется разобраться и настроить самому.

Debian Lenny проблема с Xorg

Помогите разобраться, или подскажите хороший ман, а то не пойму как заставить работать иксы.

Вот 2 конфига: первый, тот что сейчас в Debian, с ним X не стартует, идут полосы и все тупит. Второй - конфиг из Puppy, где иксы нормально стартуют и работают. Если конфиг из puppy подсунуть Debian-y - стартуют иксы, но глючат и показывают картинку из последней сессии Puppy (!?!), ощущение что видеопамять не очищается.

Debian Lenny + WiFi D-Link DWA110 (USB)

Сразу скажу что опыта пока мало.

Установил на старенький бук Debian (ставил через образ HD-Media + iso), при установке сетевая не нашлась (то ли не определился WiFi свисток то ли что, не знаю).

1. верно ли я двигаюсь? 2. как проверить что firmware установилось корректно и загружается?

Пишут что нужно искать в non-free, но у меня только iso, добавляемые через apt-cdrom add, и как через него проиндексировать non-free не очень понимаю. менять source и поочереди маунтя каждый диск делать update?
