Это важный нюанс, с которым следовало бы разобраться до того, как отправлять 3$млн (крайне мягко говоря) непонятно кому, а еще лучше разобрать до начала самой бескомпромиссной акции. Лично для меня 3 млн это не карманные расходы на день, а 13 млн человек - это не школьные друзья на новогодней пьянке, поэтому я наверное примерно так бы и сделал (в том смысле, проверил бы пару раз исходные посылы моих действий). Мне кажется, что организаторы этой акции точно так и сделали и они точно знали на что шли.

Ну для начала было бы неплохо забанить пропаганду этой ангажированной зомбосоти на ЛОРе. Хотя точнее лучше не забанить (этот метод во-первых крайне неэффективен, во-вторых, это не в духе ЛОРа, хотя в-третьих, с террористическими организациями так напрямую мы еще наверное не сталкивались, поэтому варианты обсуждаются), но например при любой ссылке на эту сеть добавлять предупреждение капслоками со ссылкой на этот тред или что-то типа того - типа как наклейки на пачках сигарет от минздрава.

Recently I have signed a petition against ACTA on avaaz.org org site here https://secure.avaaz.org/en/eu_save_the_internet/

This site was strongly promoted during the last time as one of the major centers of resistance to ACTA, so it looked really fine to me - at that time I thought it could be one of the same freedom-friendly forces as fsf.org or eff.org as I knew them before.

But now after giving them my email during anti-ACTA action I have received the following info from them:

So at least this links give me the picture, that situation with Syrian opposition is not so clear as it is shown by avaaz.org - US officials even suspect rebels in terrorism actions - so the 3$ million raised with the above company by avaaz.org could be sent even to support terrorism in Syria, and major part of this money could be raised by the people who voted against ACTA on avaaz.org too. So, my first concern is that avaaz.org shows the situation in quite simplified colors and just ignores major info which is still not clarified for the world society.

But my major concern is that avaaz.org is using the same major freedom-fighting principles as fsf.org does, but unlike fsf.org, it uses them for its own opaque manipulations which are not quite clear to me. It looks much like the avaaz.org company against ACTA could be used just as a cause to attract more people which are not indifferent about freedom in the internet, so they could promote other not-so-clear companies among them like the one shown above.

I did not find any links that would accompany fsf.org with avaaz.org directly, but http://www.fsf.org/campaigns/acta/ page links to eff.org with their https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2011/12/stand-and-fight-week-action-against-cen... page which shows fsf.org and avaaz.org in the list of their partners, so I think this also transfers partial credit of trust from fsf.org to avaaz.org indirectly.

I think that such behavior of avaaz.org is just not healthy and discriminating for online freedom-fighting community which was many years powered by organizations like fsf.org with their transparent movements, and I don't like, that both freedom principles and fsf name are used for such kind of opaque gray political manipulations with community of idealists, so I hope you could state your opinion on this situation.

I don't think Avaaz is bad, even though I sometimes disagree with it. I personally support some Avaaz campaigns, while there are others I don't support.

I am glad they are helping the fight against ACTA.

As for the fact that a list of organizations opposed to ACTA includes Avaaz and the FSF, I don't think that is important. It means only one thing: that the two organizations are opposed to ACTA.
