А как с этим соотносится frrouting? Его тоже используют в каких-нибудь железках? Или к нему фирмы не походят, так как зебра по каким-то показателям лучше?
FRR has its roots in the Quagga project. В общем, в open source форк на форке и форком погоняет. Вопрос только в том, кто и насколько глубокую первичную ветку хочет взять.

Since the FRR open source project was forked from Quagga, another routing protocol suite for Linux, FRR includes the fundamentals that made Quagga so popular as well as many enhancements that greatly improve on that foundation.
Говорю же – как какое open source решение для Linux-based networking OS ни возьмите, ноги проектов растут из задницы если не Zebra, так quagga.
