Как пишут, бывает ST8000DM004 и ST8000DM0004. Считайте нулики…
ST8000DM004 is regular Barracuda Compute drive, where as ST8000DM0004 is Barracuda Pro drive.
The Pro is still 7200rpm, probably helium filled.
The non-pro is 5425rpm SMR drive, despite most retailers listing them as 7200rpm.

EDIT Received response from Seagate support:
Thank you for contacting Seagate Support. I understand you had some questions regarding the 3.5 inch Seagate Barracuda 8tb drive you recently purchased.
According to the serial number you provided us, I was able to see that the drive you have purchased is a 8TB 5400rpm TGMR drive. Here is the link to the user manual for the model of drive you have. On page 11 you will find the Recording information: https://www.seagate.com/www-content/product-content/barracuda-fam/barracuda-new/en-us/docs/100805918g.pdf
EDIT 2 Distributor finally accepted return of these.
А диски в USB box-ах чаще бывают SMR. Люди, бывают, радуются – купили box с диском по цене ниже, чем такой же диск отдельно…
