как в KDE внизу оставить только иконки а остальное запихнуть наверх ?

Что бы что то было сверху, надо там сделать панель, вот и делай. Про рпм не знаю, наверно нет.

Переключалку настраивай через xorg.conf.

и как панель делать ? это что то качать надо или где ?

Это в настройках рабочего стола КДЕ. Поставь две панели или восемь или добавь верхнее меню рабочего стола как в макосе или поставь док и т. д. Там столько всего вкусного (особенно после виндовс), что через месяц уже тошнит.

это где ?? никак не найду. я облазил всю control panel кде ненашел.

на счет faq you, можно точней послать где этот фак, а то пост похоже стерли. там shift_control нужно прописать и перегрузить иксы так ?

и бля, оталилась сеть, в /etc/sysconfig/network/ правильно прописано dhcp, от чего он мог перестать работать ? service network restart говорит failed

Правой кнопкой по пустому месту таскбара -> Добавить на панель -> Панель -> *

добавить удалось, а как теперь убрать с низу ?
и сеть не пашет, knoppix определяет нормально, а fc теперь глючит.

неа в "Удалить с панели" появляется только то что добавил в "Добавить панель" т.е. то что я добавил я убрать могу, а вот то что было немогу.

Ты же хотел удалить не всю панель, а только систрэй и панель задач? Их можно удалить. Если хочешь убрать всю панель на верх, то её можно просто переместить наверх.

уфф, удалось создать external taskbar, теперь не получается туда часы и систем трей перетащить.
dhcp вдруг заработал ...
