His results indicate that in some cases, Bluetooth uses less than 3 percent of the power required by Wi-Fi for the same tasks. For example, sending data at the rate of 75 bytes per second over Wi-Fi requires approximately 80 milliwatts of electrical power. Sending data at the same rate over Bluetooth consumes only 2 milliwatts.

но при этом надо помнить, что у блютуса и пропускная способность на _порядок_ ниже. раздача инета для простого серфинга блютусом - самый выгодный вариант.
