Sonopia is recruiting a Systems Administrator with experience in IT Support for developers and business users. We are looking for a hands-on performer who knows their way around PC, Linux and Mac systems and knows how to build the infrastructure to support the users of these systems. Responsibilities The IT Support Systems Administrator will install and maintain the backoffice networks, servers, teleconferencing systems, system access for remote laptops and desktops used by Sonopia staff in Kyiv and worldwide. Specific responsibilities • Installation and maintenance of Server OS's (mainly Linux) • Assistance in back office networking maintenance and configuration • Configuration, maintenance and support of office collaboration tolols for SW development and business processes. • Configuration, maintenance and support of video and voice conferencing systems • Assistance in maintenance and support of office network and inter-office VPN Skills Compulsory skills: • 2+ years linux server experience • 2+ years Windows client experience • 2+ years network administration experience • VOIPs experience a plus • Good command of written and spoken English
The successful candidate will have experience in several of the following areas: • Linux (or Unix) systems administration • Account management - LDAP • Mail administration - including Exchange and IMAP • Network management - wired and wireless including DNS and routing • Cisco network equipment • Groupware administration - including wikis (Confluence – www.atlassian.com) and blogs • Bug tracking systems - in particular Jira (www.atlassian.com) • Video conferencing technologies • VoIP technologies • WAN design installation and support • VPN administration • Firewall configuration, monitoring and management • Patch management, updates management • Virtual machines • Mac and windows pc support

The Systems Administrator will be part of the initial team designing and specifying Sonopia's product. Flexibility and ability to work as part of a multi skilled team are essential. Sonopia is a multi-site company, international travel may be required. Educational requirements: MS/BS degree in Computing Sciences or equivalent is preferred. Credit will be given for candidates who do not have relevant degrees but can demonstrate equivalent work experience. Trade ceritificates in related areas are a plus. Location and Communication The position is located in Sonopia's development office in Kyiv, Ukraine. Successful candidates will be engaged in core development activities closely cooperating in a team with software architects, designers and engineers.
