SUSE - SyncMaster700NF - 75HZ

Вот наконец скачал 7 гб Сусе 9 ))) установил его и.... был неприятно удивлён, где в ясте не ковырял - нигде не смог ему обьяснить чтобы мой моник Samsung SyncMaster 700NF при разрешении 1152х864 работал с частотой 100 герц... хотя в лайвэвале получалось... я сразу подумал что нужно что-то подправить в XF86Config, но что? Обьясните плиз. только если можно по-подробнее, ведь я только начал разбираться... Кстати, видюха - ATI Radeon 9000

У тебя при старте Х-ы грузятся???

Если да, то надо сделать так чтобы ты попадал в текстовый режим...

Это избавит в дальнейшем от возможных проблем при установке.

Не знаю как для Suse 9, а для RedHat/Fedora/Slackware, достаточно изменить значение в файле /etc/inittab в строке:

id:5:initdefault:

c 5 - (графический режим) на 3 - (текстовый режим), ну и перегрузится...

P.S. Советую поискать на этом сайте как в Suse включить текстовый режим...

дальше читаем XTimings-HOWTO в сторону выставления ModeLine. Или же где-либо достаем нужный этот самый ModeLine (другой анонимус)

В текстовый режим я установил давно. ModeLine это типа Frequency Range? У меня в меню монитора написано :

Frequency Range: H: 30 - 96 kHz V: 50 - 160 Hz

Recommended Timing 1280x1024 / 85 Hz

Serial Munber ...

Maximum Refresh Rate: (based on VESA GTF)

640x480 / 160 800x600 / 146 1024x768 / 116 1152x864 / 104 1280x1024 / 89 1600x1200 / 76

Далее устанавливаешь драйвера:

rpm -Uvh fglrx-glc22-4.3.0-3.7.0.i386.rpm

После чего завускаешь:

fglrxconfig

и отвечаешь на вопросы которые он тебе задает (Более подробно: http://www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/readme0370.txt)

Не забудь на всякий случай сохранить старый конфиг от X-ов (это файл XF86Config)...

После пробуешь запустить...

startx

Потом суды по соощениям пошёл в /lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod, набрал ./make.sh а он мне:

эхх... забыл я что не скачал исходники ядра... думал не понадобятся... чтож щас буду докачивать и пробовать... кстати где-то слышал что на "родное" ядро сусе драйвера ати не ставятся правильно это правда?

Насчет того что они не ставятся, не слышал...

А исходники у тебя должны быть на одном из дисков.
Пакет: kernel-source.....rpm, или что-то типа того...

Попробуй запустить fglrxconfig у этих драйверов есть встроенный драйвер...

Ты сейчас пытешься собирать внешний...

Дрова дровами, а вот строчку Modeline они за тебя не напишут. В комплект X'ов входит утилитка 'gtf' запускай её типа так: 'gtf 1152x864_100' , далее то что она выдаст вставляешь в свой xf86config-4. И исправь либо в секции Screen: Modes "1152x864" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" на Modes "1152x864_100" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" либо в секции Modes переименуй "1152x864_100" на "1152x864". Для примера мои Modeline'ы от Samsung 757NF. Hello.

А обьясните мне, нахера качать дрова для Radeon, если они уже есть в дистрибутиве. Если не ошибаюсь до nv350 включительно в 9 SuSE есть всё.

Иксы запустились )) за конфиг спасибо, но ТАКОГО разрешения я ещё не видел... я ввобще не думал что мой моник его может держать ))) (разрешение > 1600х1200)

Да, но там только одна опция, если не менять XF86Config - 75 или 55 герц
