Ядро надо оттуда ставить в первую очередь. А лучше прекратить некрофилию и обновить дистрибутив.

ядро 3.16 и модуль иксов 2.21.15 вышли в 2014 году, а твоя железка в 2016. Самое быстрое решение для тебя - поставить debian stable.

Но самое лучшее - это посмотреть, чем сейчас люди пользуются, попробовать, что приглянулось, и ставить.
